Realy great and self speaking photo, don't know what it sais on the announcement but it is not even necessary I can imagine a nice story out of it. Very well done.

In changing this image from sepia to back and white, it becomes much more stark and immediate -- it is happening now!

I somehow missed this image on an earlier visit. It uses all three of the key principles of visual expression that I emphasize in my galleries and workshops. It is incongruous (it is unsual for a woman to get out of her wheelchair to do stretching exercises). It is abstract (the woman turns away from us, forcing us to imagine how she must feel at this moment). And it is rich in human values (there overtones of courage, resilience, and recovery here) which all of us can relate to. And that's why it tells its story well.
