10.01.2004

Up nice and early for this one so that I could work in the studio (ok kitchen) in almost total darkness before the sun rises. Just a low key lighting experiment to try to get the shadows to run into the background... Good enough to eat, can you imagine that crisp juicy texture?? I don't think so, this one's polystyrene!!

Canon EOS 10D ,Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM

Wow! Fabulous image, Ian! I also would never have guessed it wasn't real :)

If you hadn't mentioned this one wasn't real -- I never would have thought that. Excellent shot. Will have to try with pears. :)

Very cool image Ian. I love how the background is black. The apple sticks out so well. Well done!

Are you sure its imitation? it looks so real. Great picture though, texture, lighting etc spot on.

Ian...what a gorgeous apple image! I must "copy" this technique someday.
Green apples are the best for shooting. Must make a point to buy this type..they dont go bad;)

That's what I like to see! But I can't believe it's not real!
