The 40D's battery hatch has now been repaired, and the 24-105 returned from repairs this morning (complete with a new autofocus motor) at a final cost of $470. That was less than the estimate, but still a truckload of "ouch".

I fired a few test shots this morning and it certainly seems to be back to its old self, but I thought that I'd let the 300D record the more significant event of the day; that being the return of my A team.
