Again I'm a couple of days behind in posting my PADs, and again I've no idea what kind of bird I'm shooting[1]. I noticed two of these in a nearby park at lunchtime. What was most noticeable was the jerky way they were strutting around the grass in search of a tasty repast. When I brought the images up to full size what was even more noticeable was an expression that looks for all the world like confusion.
(Possibly about what the humanoid with the click-box was doing, since every time I tried to circle around to shoot them head on, they'd turn their backs on me.)

[1] Update April 2024: That statement was true at the time but since moving south I've encountered this type far more often. It's commonly known as a Plover, but also goes by the name of a Masked Lapwing. ("Masked", hmm, I wonder why?)
