In the beachside suburb of St Kilda you'll find an old fashioned amusement park called Luna Park. Sydney also has a Luna Park, whose motto is "Just For Fun". (I thought that the Melbourne one used the same, but I don't see it anywhere.)
The difference is... how can I put this delicately? I don't have a picture of Sydney' Luna Park to compare this one to, but doesn't this one's face look just a touch.... evil? Malevolent? Sinister, maybe? Like it's not so much smiling, but thinking about how it could chomp down on the people going through the mouth / gate if it wanted to?
Or was it just the food poisoning that I picked up in Melbourne playing tricks on my mind?
