This carbine version of the famous Model 1873 Winchester lever-action repeater ("The Gun that Won the West") was manufactured in 1888 and is .44-40 caliber. The shorter carbine was typically carried on horseback and was called the "saddle ring carbine.". This gun is in rare excellent condition with perfect action.
