Live Oak Tree at Noon

Hampton Plantation, South Carolina

OK, I'm obsessed with this tree at noon!!
Yet another 'exercise' in controlling shadows and highlights at noon in a field
with my favourite oak tree. Again, exposing for the shadows and developing
for the highlights. I took 35% off my 'standard' time for this development.
I think the shadows are nice, and the 'high noon' light on the background
trees is better controlled. According to my spot meter, there was a 7 stop
range in values in this scene.

Ilford FP4+ 4x5 sheet exposed at iso100, developed in Ilford Ilfosol 3
diluted 1:14 for 4.5 mins at 20C. Straight scan, and slightly toned.

"Exposing for shadow, developing for highlight" that is a phrase I have not heard in years! Looks like you nailed it. Great image
