Hampton Live Oak Exercise

Santee Delta, near McClellanville, South Carolina

Another exercise in controlling shadows and highlights at noon in a field.
("Mad dogs and Englishmen {and others} go out in the midday sun ...)

I think the result is a little too 'muddy'.
I wish I had not used DD-X ; it advanced the highlights and contrast too much.

Toyo-View 45AII, Schneider-Kreuznach APO-Symmar 1:5,6 ƒ=150mm, Ilford FP4+

other sizes: small medium large original auto

MAGICAL!!!
Large format is my favorite photographic modality. But... sadly I do not use it very often anymore. Nowadays I inclined to use medium format (6x7) and some 35mm. Still make exclusive use of film photography.

They hold in their shade the stories of life, love and loss for so many generations. Wonderful framing.

But unlike the Mad Dogs and Englishmen I would dearly love to sit under this tree and have a picnic.
What a beautiful sight. Nice work too.
