Pam Haley ~ FrogHouse Photo

Spur-Thigh Tortoise

"Willie" the spur-thigh tortoise (Geochelone sulcata),
needed a new home so he has joined my family.
Weighing in at almost 35 pounds and 18 inches in
length, he is very large and very handsome.
He has quite the personality and comes at a trot when
you call him! He is settling in very nicely in his
new "digs" (a quarantine enclosure) in the
yard, until he is eating well, and checks out health wise.

Pam, he is gorgeous. I saw some like this at the Zoo the other day but they were quite small in comparison.
