Monarda bradburiana

Eastern Bee Balm (or Eastern Bergamot) is an occasional perennial found in the Western Highland Rim in Tennessee. It is usually found in open woods and thickets (in this case roadside on my property). The beautiful bloom is white to pink with purple dots on the corolla. It is in the mint family.

I've never seen this variety. I have lots of monarda and it provides lots of photo ops by attracting a variety of subjects like that hummingbird moth from last spring. Fine clarity. Are you shooting RAW? Have you ever done a side-by-side comparison of an identical jpeg file and RAW file? I might give it a try at some point since the 1D Mk2 can shoot both together.
