Purple Dead Nettle (often confused with Henbit) is an aggressive winter annual weed that attacks open lawns, fields & waste areas. It readily reseeds in the spring and fall and if left to it's own devices will overtake a lawn within a few seasons. Thin lawns are extremely vulnerable to this weed.
