A little extra for my month of blur. I arrived home
yesterday, went around to let Oakley out of the back
of the truck, walked to the side near the stone wall
to close the window and was greeted by our "friend"
and resident snake coiled up in striking position.
Most of you know I am fond of snakes but this fella
has become too frequent a sighting when the kids are
playing outside. I proceeded to grab my shotgun, a
long pole and was able to get close enough to knock
him down into the driveway and then (after he latched
on to the net on the pole) over to the grass where he
made his final attempt to scurry off. I'm sad but a
bit relieved that I won't be looking for him daily.
