Are the Customs officers waiting?

The Concorde comparison (made around 2005) was silly (because it was not like-for-like so could be fabricated to suit) but was also invalid because the development cost of Concorde was never disclosed,so could not be included, but has been estimated at some £2 billion. Even CalMac doesn't have a hidden cost like that to finance that from its ticket sales.

It was said at one time, mile for mile it was cheaper to fly on Concord.Last week ,me, my mate & car return was £15.20p(30p).

Why don't they buy another and make a bridge ?

I seem to remember it is the most expensive ferry in Scotland per minute of sailing.

I take it this is the one at the northern end of your island?
Jenny Faa 03-Jun-2010 20:09
No, no, no. It's like this. The main ferry takes 35 minutes to reach the mainland and direct connections with centres of culture and civilisation like Glasgow and Edinburgh. The wee ferry at the north end of the island takes 3 minutes and connects with another centre of culture called Colintraive which is technically on the mainland but a very long way from anywhere else. Clear? Mmm. How's about Google Maps?

You mean, this is it. This is the body of water that all those big ferries are needed to get people and vehicles across?
Jenny Faa 03-Jun-2010 17:23
Wee, but perfectly formed. I love they way they line up all the cars on one side in case a bus or lorry turns up at the last minute.
