We lost Woolworth's several decades ago in New Orleans and it was a wonderful store.

The first thing we did as kids on holiday was to go to Woolie's for our plastic sandals, bucket and spade. What are we going to do now on a wet Sunday afternoon?

Woolies has always been a big part of my life. My late mother and at least two of her cousins worked in the Rothesay Woolies. The empty shops will leave a large gap in many communities.
