Young foal
He is being weaned from his mother, and is in our paddock, but can see her, she is 2 paddocks away,
and he often calls out to her with his high pitched little neigh.. a difficult time for them both.
A quiet little fellow who came right up to me and let me pat him - he was one side of the fence and I was on the other side,
I'm not brave with horses, it is Dick who is very keen and used to ride.
I have learned his name is "Merlin" because his father's name was "The Magician"

More fuchsias.
This one has a tiny bloom on a small bush with tiny leaves... it is in flower right now
in a hanging basket on the south side of our carport.

Rainbow Lorikeet
I donned my long lens on my camera thinking I'd take some photos of the foal which
is at present in our paddock; but as I left the house I noticed the whole family of
lorikeets were in the seed dish or in the tree holding the dish.. here is one that
was waiting turn for the dish.

Fuchsia
This tiny flower floats above a bush that is as tall as I am, originally a
cutting taken from a garden that our daughter #3 in her early
days of renting before she married and had children... as its their 25th
anniversary coming up next year, it gives you an idea how long I've been
growing this fuchsia!

Violas
On the first day of March I planted a pot full of these little violas, they will give us
a lovely display through autumn and again in spring.

Autumn colours
Although this photo was taken back in October 2017, the pot of these
haven't stopped flowering through the long summer months and into
March.
