Petals
Thank you for your kind words yesterday they
soothed me heaps & were much appreciated.
This Pad offering is the last for my 2nd year
although it doesn't officially end until the
14th, I am performing a recital on piano
tomorrow and have another busy day Sunday
so I'm calling it a day. I intend starting
up a PESO gallery soon because I know I would
miss all the wonderful friends made on PAD!
To go out with a "bang" here are 3 more
offerings from our autumn garden.
(Wow - I didn't make them THIS big - something wrong with thumbnails today?)
and a desaturated red

Tribute to my Auntie
Sorry folks, you tapped in with this mini challenge topic
just after I went to visit my Auntie who's just hanging in
there by a thread, just like the petal on this spent rose.
It was her birthday yesterday & I've been feeling blue
ever since thinking of her.

Dead bloom
On the butterfly bush
and here's another shot
of a different dead bloom
A job for me to cut them all off or
we'll have baby butterfly bushes
popping up everywhere

Crunchy apples...
I think these are "gala" apples, one
of my favourites. Dick picked them up
at one of the greengrocers a couple
of days ago.. here's a bowl of them.

Fuchsia
My last week of my 2nd year as a padder.
The fuchsias are putting on a show right now
and I think I have the right name for the
main pictured bloom.
Here's the 2nd offering for today
(both are best in "original")

Acacia
I dived quickly outside to take a few shots of
an acacia that's just coming into bloom in
our garden. We've had gales hail and rain
on and off most of today and its very cold
here for this time of year.
Here's a closer shot of some of the tiny tufts of bloom

Just for a day...
Another wet cold & windy day, I managed
to get out into the garden between showers
to capture this daylily freshly opened.

Tiny nest
Measuring 1.5-cms it revealed a tiny pupa nestling inside
an unopened nest alongside this one.
Its been wet and foggy most of today, so I
had a play with psd and 2 tiny ornaments
that belong to our son (who incidentally has
flown the nest and lives in San Francisco these days)

Powered by the sun
It belongs to our son and was given to
him by a specialist in prisms & lenses.
The sun makes the little fan swirl
Anyone know the name of it?

Up close & personal...
Experimenting in very close shots.
Here's another one, same day lily

The wet...
In cast Laine Sheila & other Aussie pbasers have forgotten
what RAIN looks like - we've had it ALL day today and
the main picture is a sample!
Here's a shot I took this morning of a
little casket given to me many years
ago by a fellow musician.

Raindrops
I tried to capture the sunlight via the raindrops
but without success - this was as good as I could get.
Here's raindrops on autumn leaves & the stems of the leaves.
