Dr Allan T van Oosterom is head of the Department of Oncology at
the University Hospital of Leuven. He was President of the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) from2000 until 2003. His main research interests include sarcomas, genitourinary cancers and drug development, particularly those
targeting new molecular pathways.
