Bart Landuyt is a bio-engineer, finishing a PhD in Medicine. In the
past four years he has introduced new state-of-the-art technologies for
protein analysis in cancer research. His main research focus is to elucidate the molecular mechanisms behind pharmaco-resistance in
tumours, especially gastrointestinal stromal tumours (GISTs). Mr Landuyt
is working in a multidisciplinary team of physicians, pathologists,
radiologists, geneticists, biologists and chemists with only one goal –
to improve the survival and quality of life of patients with GISTs
