Vrsac, small town located 80 km northeast from Belgrade, within Vojvodina lowland.
Here is the highest peak in Vojvodina (641 m above sea level)
I came here in 1995, after became an employee of Hemofarm, one of the best Serbian companies.

Ne vidim sta je ovde bas tako dobro da ljudi toliko hvale ove fotografije. Slike k'o slike. Cak one suncokrete sam i ja slikao i to par dana pre Vlade kad su bili jos lepsi...26.06.2008. A o slikama po Vrsackom bregu da i ne pricam i pisem...Izgleda da mu polako nestaju i ideje za fotografije jer se ponavlja iz godine u godinu. Pozdrav.

Pozdrav iz Kalgarija u Kanadi. Slucajno sam naisao na ovu galeriju roveci po internetu. Ja i moja supruga smo se odusevili Vrscem. Nismo imali pojma kako grad izgleda, a jos manje da je ovako predivan. Dolazimo u Srbiju ovo ljeto i planiramo da rentiramo kola na 10 dana da obidjemo Vojvodinu. Vrsac nije bio na nasoj listi ali od juce jeste. Sve najbolje! Aco i Andrea

Pozdrav iz Splita. Odlucih se javiti se nakon kratkog premisljanja. Gledan ove zbilja predivne fotografije i suze mi navrijese na oci. u Vrscu sam bila u septembru prosle godine u posjet obitelji. Naime tu sam rodjena davne , a mozda i ne 1957. godine. Redovito ga posjecujem, ne samo zbog familije, vec i zbog grada samog. Ima nesto u njemu sto me neodoljivo privlaci i ne dozvoljava mi da prestanem razmisljati o njemu. Gledajuci ove Vase fotografije misli mi postaju sredjenije i shvacam o cemu se radi. Jednostavno, moj rodni grad je jedan bezvremenski grad, i svakom dozvoljava da ga dozivljava na osebujan nacin. srdacan pozdrav Vama i gradu. marija

Obisla sam dosta gradova u Evropu, Ameriku i bivsu Jugu.Ali lepseg grad nisam videla. Tvoje slike sijaju u ovom mracnom vremenu. Hvala sto predstavljas drugu bolju stranu nase zemlje i nase kulture. Tvoj rad je izradjen dusom i emocijama. Ove slike nisu samo slike danasnjeg vremena nego i slike proslosti.Vrsac je bio i ostat ce vecito mlad,romantican i nezaboravljen.

Wow great job brother! I live in Canada but my parents are from Vladimirovac 40 minutes from Vrsac. I just got back from visiting these places you took pictures of and I miss it so much my eyes started to tear. I finally met my family in Serbia and want to go back very soon, possibly for Christmas. Vlado - ti si umetnik!!! Ziveo sam i radio u Vrscu 4 godine (inace sam iz Banatskog Karlovca) i on na tvojim slikama izgleda lepsi nego sto jeste!! Vidi se da znas znanje, ali nisi zanatlija nego umetnik! Milane, da bi se fotografisalo sve ono sto je lepo u jednom gradu (pogotovo sve ono sto vidi neko ko u njemu ZIVI), potrebne su godine i poseban portal. Medjutim, zaista ne znam sta je lepo sa(ili na) Gerontoloskim centrom ili Stadionom?! Uzmi kameru u ruke, postavi portal i pokazi nam. Gospodine Marinkovocu slike su veoma dobre zahvaljujem vam se sto unapredjujete nas grad i pokusavate da on izgleda prelepo u vasem photo aparatu.Iako zivim u vrscu i jako ga volim bez njega gde god da krenem uvek se vracam i uvek me docekamoja omiljena prijateljica kosava. Vrsac je jako lepa varos sto bi rekoa sterija samo sto polako umire taj stari njen deo.Vase slike to sprecavaju medjutim niste sve pokrili slikama nisu uslikani gerontoloski centar stadion,Nije uslikan sv.Jakob to stoji na uglu Ljubljanske i abraseviceve,Nije uslikana fontana u centru parka takodje mogli bi ste pivnicu da uslikate krcmu kreazer kao i stari deo vrsca sa fenomenalnim fasadama koje se nalaze u Heroja pinikija i ive milutinovica .Ovo su dobronoamerne kritike.Srdacan pozdrav od mene i samo tako nastavite..

Malo je gradova u Srbiji koji imaju takvo zdanje i drago mi je sto je ista renovirana jer mi je ostala u secanju iz perida sivih devedesetih kada sam u njoj cekao sinobus za Belu Crkvu. A sto se klupe tice drago mi je sto reklamiras i nase vracevgajsko jezero. Na istoj sam vise puta uzivao istina tada nije bila ofarbana. Pozdravio bih te sa zeljom da ubacis i neku fotku sa Belocrkvanskih jezera.

I made it finally! I arrived in Vrsac from Ontario, Canada the 1st of June '06. My Dad was born here in 1925, his parents and he left to come to Canada in 1929. Dad has never been back so I went for him. I came there mostly to find family or family information. I found loads of info. I feel like Vrsac is my home now and I will be back for sure in 2008. More research you know. lol Thankyou for your wondrous pictures and as I look at them now I do wish I was there now. I will check in time again to what new photos you have. Thanks! DEB

My grandmother was born in Vrsac, but left for Australia, then on to New Zealand in the late 1940s after WW2. She doesnt talk much about the past, and neither does my great-grandmother, so its nice to see part of her history. Im now living in Europe for three years in the UK and Ireland, and I very much want to visit Vrsac before I go home to New Zealand, especially after seeing these gorgeous photos. Your talent is amazing Vlado, and I can only dream of being able to take photos as well as you do. Ive sent the link to my sister in NZ, and will ask her to show your photos to my grandmother. Nice photography, Vlado. I was born in Vrsac, left it for America at the age of 15, and have not returned since 1970. Though I have travelled in many countries in Europe, America, Africa and Asia, and seen some wonderful things, my birthplace will always hold a special charm. I recognize much of it in your photos, though the hillside and center of town are now much more developed. Our house used to be a few blocks from the German Cathedral, more or less on the way to the stadium. I have fond memories of camping on the Karas River, or in fifth grade harvesting grapes for Vrsacki Vinogradi (do they still make schoolchildren do that?), or roasting sausages at Grozdjebal, or sledding downhill from the small white church in winter, or taking all day hikes to Guduricki Vrh, or painting a view of the Mesic Monastery, or riding my bike through the poppy fields on endless afternoons in spring. Your site brought all that back to mind. Thank you. Your artistic attempts are commendable. I like the clouds, the fields, and sunsets. Keep up the good work! Virgil Speriosu

Vlado, das ist eine sehr sch�ne Gallery ! Mein Vater und meine Gro�eltern waren Donauschwaben aus Vrsac und ich bin als Kind vor mehr als 30 Jahren mehrmals dort gewesen. Auf den Bildern habe ich viele Dinge von damals wieder entdecken k�nnen...! Gibt es noch viele Deutsche in Vrsac ? Kann man Serbien und Vrsac heute problemlos besuchen ? Superb collection of photos. I visit Vrsac fairly often from England to visit my wife's family and know nearly all of these locations. I have never seen Vrsac looking this good! You do the town proud. Perhaps more descriptive captions would help viewers who are not so familiar with the locations, but this is not a criticism.

Vlado, you have a gorgeous town there. My dad visited it in 1993, and I was curious to see what I can find on the Internet about Vrsac. I gotta tell you that this web page is the best on Vrsac, from far away! Congratulations! I'd love to visit Vrsac someday. My dad is Rusyn(Ukrainian), my mum Moldavian (Romanian), and as I know, there are both Romanians and Ukrainians in Vrsac ;) Keep it up! Matej from the High Carpathians :D
