Digital station

A similar shot to the one a couple of weeks back. That one was with a 30 year old camera with HP5 rated at ei800. This one with the 20D at iso800.

Which is best? Don't even try to comapre. Especially on screen downsized to 600px. I think It's kinda unfair to evaluate an analogue film /wet print photograph in the digital domain. Would you photograph your digital photos as displayed on your PC screen on Velvia and compare to real analogue capture? Thought not. Maybe I'll print the neg on 10x8 in the darkroom and compare to a 10x8 from a digital lab... or maybe not.

The real difference is I got wet shooting in the rain with the 20D...

Still a nice picture, though...

And what about processing? There's a big difference between tweaking a photo in Lightroom and using an enlarger, filters and dodging....
And still, you get wet shooting in the rain.

I wonder what the station looked like 30 years ago?
