Waiting for a train on platform 9

It's 2 degrees, we've just watched Spurs lose to Charlton, and it's a half hour wait for our train. "The train approaching platfrom 9 is a non-stopping service, please stand back from the platform edge" said the PA system. Hmm I thought, getting the G2 out from my inside pocket, balancing it on my knee whilst adjusting the swivel LCD. I might be able to make a picture out of this... only one chance... must get the timing right... click. That'll do!

Canon PowerShot G2

Lovely photo David! Having read the comments on Linda's I had to see what everyone was comparing... hard to say, but this one possibly has the edge for me because I love BRIGHT colours (in case you hadn't noticed!)

Wow, the color on that train is so bright! Nice job entertaining yourself while you wait!

It did do! I recognise Clapham Junction here! I can only echo what he others have said in that this is a fantastic shot. The two guys look cold and resigned to waiting longer for their train.

Wow this is cool, very well captured. This is something we all see everytime we visit the train station but very rarely see the captured split second of time as we can here from this low view point. The colours and motion are brillo... great stuff!

And notice that neither of them is wearing anything on their heads -- although there is some protection from the elements.

Great shot of the train.

This is great. Everything fits and falls into place here. You got the two men perfectly "lined up", representing a very solitary athmosphere, a stark contrast to the moving and colorful train.
