Jul 24: End of the day

The end of a wonderful day, our wedding day. I'd bought three rolls of Kodak Portra to shoot in my little Olympus P&S. But the tiny Mju ii stayed in my jacket pocket while everyone else took photographs of us. I'd handed my 5D to Mike and he got some great pictures. Thanks Mike! By the evening I'd only shot 6 pics, and I think 5 of those will be junk. Later in the evening, Mike having left to head back to his B&B, I shot this pic of the fire pit as the number of guests dwindled. Later the last 6 of us sat around the fire pit watching the night sky. Someone saw a satellite and we watched it track its way across the stars. LM(!) turned off the lights and the stereo in the Marquee and with the fire now the only light, the Milky Way became clear and bright overhead. As I we stood to leave, I saw a meteor blaze across the sky. Perfect end to a Perfect day. Hey, Linda and I got married today!!

Did I tell you a couple of RAF Hawks buzzed the village whilst you were doing the deed in town?
Bad timing if you ask me!
Congratulations again...
