Damn I remember that thoohless hound! Her toung would always hang out of the side of her mouth. I grew up on the 2300 block of Glencoe ave. the whole Irvine clan moved in on the next block over. It was in the late 60's. My older brothers used to hang out with David Dan and Doug. Mainly David and Dan. I was closer in age to their sister Kim. we went to Mark twain and VHS through the same years. ( I always thought she was a cuttie.) Any way back to Candy the dog. she just showed up one day at the Irvines house as I recall and the family just adopted her. she seemed like an old dog even then. she even had some pups as I recall. I guess Doug must have been the one to Keep her through the years. Wow Candy the dog what a trip!!
Doug was roomates with us at the 415 Rialto house and those boys could freekin eat! Luckily I loved to cook for those growing boys! LOL Doug has a Pacific West (was on West Washington, now called Abbot Kinney St) shirt on. Which was one of our hangouts to watch surf films and drink beer. Doug had his dog named Candy who was such a cool pup with no teeth. Doug lives in Hintington Beach with his wife Maureen.
