Great pictures, recognized a lot of the areas, I was at CRB from March '68 to Dec '69 with Buffy, Shadow, and finally with Commander.

I was at CRB from June'71-72. My dog was Ceasar, a bad jeep dog. in August 1971, my good friend, Hardy Higgenbottmon and I were on the north bay posts. Before the bomb dump explosions, there was incomming in front of us. Hardy and I eat dirt that night. Does anyone remember Tim Stinoff, one of my hoochmates? I would love to talk with my truest friends that I will ever have.

I was working in the ammo dump next to that one and remembering it being around 2 in the morning when all this started. Pieces of metal flying everywhere. holes were made in the roof of sheds where dynamite was stored. While all this was going on we were taken out on a truck to check our site. Scary as hell , it was! I believe the date was August 26, 1971.

I was at cam rahn from jan 71 to jan 72 ; I WAS WITH 339TH AIR RESCUE ; WE FLEW TH E KC130P ;i WAS PART OF THE GROUND CREW;I sure am glad for you gays being there for us ,as our planes were a prime target ;again thanks from all the guys up on herkie hill;i also remember that night our ammo dump got blown as i got blown off my top bunk with the first explosion

My dad Tim Jones was with the 483rd SPS, I think it was also called 12th SPS Phantom Flight and his dog was Gerry. He was there the night the ammo dump blew up, and I was wondering if anyone remembers him. Thanks in advance.

Good site and lots of memories for me too! I was there with you guys. Probabaly spokewith many of you. I was there several different times. My last tour started in in Oct 70 and I was there, sleeping in my rack when the bomb dump went off, I believe it Sept 71. I thought the next hooch had been hit and rolled out of the rack and jumped right on top my roomie. He still pisses and moans about his back! Weeine! Well guys, it broke my heart when all those wonderful dog soldiers were destroyed! I saw some very trying moments that seemed to last for hours od agony! I was in CRB in Sept 72 and it was like a ghost town. It did not resemble the robust Military Post of the late sixties, to include 70 and parts of 71. I hooked up with some Koreans and then I felt safe and knew I would get through the night. What a job the politicians did on the honor of all that served and sacrificed.
