The aesthetics of this one do relate somehow to the impact images that one sees sometimes on cd covers.
When I first looked at it, without paying attention to the words, I thought that you were being "teleported" from some +lace distance and we've caught you as your molecular structure was being put together again, but then I saw the words and a 180º turn happened, you were not being put together at all, you were forever dissolving..... What a few words can do to an image..

Into The White.
I'll have to dig that album out again.
Nice one Niall.

The song is an absolute classic, and this is a portrait with attitude to match anything that Black Francis can muster. Superb composition, Niall.

All this negative space, such aggressiveness...such purity... it makes it quite frightening and makes yourself ask a heap of questions.

Can't hear the music behind it but sure feel the pain of a silent scream.
They say that a closed fist has more or less the same size as a heart...

I remember burning through two cassette copies of that soundtrack back in da day. :)

Indeed it is, Lawrence, and that one in Pump up the Volume was the 12" slow version, too which is the one I had in my head. The song is by The Pixies, the greatest guitar band ever, in my opinion.

I think i remember that song from the "pump up the volume" soundtrack. interesting image and statement here - one that poses as many questions as it answers. i like this a lot, looks like an ink print more than a photograph
