it's the kind of thing
that once drove men into the desert night
I see no deserts here
And the east end rogue you so admire
is a murdering fuckhead
The influence is clear
you're only a stone's throw
from all the violence you buried years ago.

Gravenhurst - I turn my face to the forest floor

This is the kind of place I would love to find for a photo session. Not too much like it in the O.C. though!
Well spotted and, of course, composed.

I see their civility in the midst of violence and decay - their steadfast way - as if they are saying "steady on... we will not be afraid. We have each other".
They keep their back straight, their chins up to show "those" who watch with bad intent.
But they huddle imperceptively closer..

What a powerful image, the frame is inspired and the scale of the scene is amazing, very sinister. V

menacing. THEY obviously met ny night - I hope their plans were stopped. Damn fine space.
Guest 06-Jun-2006 23:52
First thing that struck me about this was the chairs. Loved how their positioned to face each other. Problem is that I imagine not a nice conversation, flask of coffee and a few sandwiches being consumed at this scene, but a resevoir dogs like encounter with one person sitting in those chairs wishing they were somewhere else. Would have been a great photo with just the warehouse / chairs. Shooting through that glass magnifies the effect by at least 10. Awesome, masterful. Huge vote
Craig Persel06-Jun-2006 23:15

And now you make us feel a bit like 007 ... a little spying action that you give us here in such a fantastic way.. You force us to hold our breath and type as quiet as possible... Gosh... I am even looking over my shoulder... See what you've done??
This photo is great in its oportunitity, in its composition, but well, tons of decent folks will tell you that for sure so there's no point in listening to a crazy one like me ;)
ruthemily06-Jun-2006 21:35
and the comments and votes flow in! as well they should.
this is already one of my favourites of yours and i've only looked at it for a couple of minutes. absolutely fabulous! (and i love those lyrics)
