- 13th Jan 2005 - M56 crossed Moon

Couldn't resist this! This was taken handheld in the taxi at 70 mph on the M56 on the way back from Manchester Airport.... don't knock the Nikon 8800!!! No photoshop, no cropping :) Thanks to Rod at www.airports-4u.com for keeping the car steady! Need a taxi to Manchester, he's your man! This is us on final approach to Chester...

I thought I'd need to default to a photo of the fish and chips and red wine we'd bought for tea after parents' evening, but the moon shot worked! I was frustrated as I'd downgraded to economy on the flight back in order to get a window seat (how sad is that.... pbase! PAD!) but ended up sitting on the wing with a filthy window!!!

I'll save the fish and chips idea for another night - red wine was good though :)

Might take a piccy in Chester tomorrow...

I suppose it depends what you were going to do with it!!!!
Have to say I didn't ask, and was (I think) suitably discrete:) I suppose they could class it as a portable electronic device....

nice - and as for the pic on the flight - I got told I wasn't allowed to use my camera on a plane recently

Well done, you made the most of the opportunity. I saw this moon on the drive home but by the time I got home I couldn't find it !

This PAD thing's to blame! THank the Nikon VR for the image sharpness :)

Well spotted, and very well taken from a moving car!

I had an isle seat... prefer a window :) It's only an hour - had it been transatlantic then the PAD would have been the drinks trolley or something...

I really like this. We were all looking at the new moon out of the office window - seems brighter than usual, doesn't it. Well you must have the PAD bug - nothing would make me downgrade on a flight!
