No it's not flat. I've posted some other images to show the scale and dimensions (gallery - 2005 images). Photo was taken from small hill immediately behind the North Queensferry Lodge hotel - from inside the car, window open, using a tripod - it was blowing a real gale! And it took quite a few shots to get it sharp. Interestingly BBC Scotland had their reporter in the same spot reporting live last night :)
