This year’s Parade theme is Fancy Nonsense. Artistic Director, Robin VanLear took inspiration from painter Pablo Picasso’s Rose Period works (from 1905) and his depictions of the mysterious and elusive world of gypsies, harlequins, and acrobats. "Those glimpses of wonder that occur on the periphery of our vision, or that come to us in dreams, often tarnish if we try to see or understand them too clearly. Proof that the truest magic is born within ourselves, a product of our own imagination."
