Ready, set, snow!

February 26, 2010: Only 5.6" / 14 cm of wet snow fell on Philly. The meteorologists got it wrong this time ~ they had predicted another big blizzard. Instead, the storm pounded northern New Jersey and places further north.
Total snowfall in Philadelphia this year - 78.7" / 200 cm!

February 9 & 10, 2010: Once again ~ Another 15.8" / 40 cm of snow fell on Philly (18" / 45 cm in Kennett) over a 29 hour period of time. This was a wet, heavy snow; therefore less accumulation. Unfortunately, this storm caused my flight to Columbus to be cancelled........
This significant snowstorm resulted in Philadelphia achieving it's greatest total snowfall amount in one season. 71.6" / 182 cm. HOORAY!!!

February 5 & 6, 2010: Here we go again ~ 22 hours of nonstop snow has dumped 28.5" / 72.39 cm on Philadelphia! Two blizzard's in one season is a first in recorded history!

December 19, 2009: After ~ 18 hours of continuous snowing, the blizzard of 2009 dumped the second largest snowfall in Philadelphia's recorded history - 23.2" / 58.9 cm.

I grew up in West Chester, PA. That was my backyard till I was 16 and moved along to Upstate NY. Lots of memories. One of them... SNOW!
