The tram from Limoges was suddenly stopped by the SS at the bridge over the river Glane.
Passengers were divided into two groups ~ residents of Oradour and "others".
The "others" were ordered to return to Limoges, while the remaining 20 or so were lined up in a row facing the barrel of a machine gun.
They thought they were going to die....
