Symmetry

Centipede :(

Weekly Challenge ~ "Symmetry"
Sometimes you just have to forget about the rule of thirds, and just plop your focus dead center, just because it works.
Symmetry can come at a price; some may say it’s not interesting enough or even boring.
Don’t listen to that.
Subjects that work well with symmetry are landscapes and flora.
I think it works well with some architectural subjects as well.

Cool shot, Stephanie! I'd also guess House Centipede!!
Timothy Guenther18-Jun-2012 02:42
Common centipede and slightly venomous, although they rarely bite people. They do get as big as 6 inches long. Good macro; they are usually too fast to shoot!

What a terrific macro shot of this strange looking creature!
The nearest I can find is Scutigera coleoptrata, house centipede. But it isn't the one on Wikipedia :-)

Oh boy, are you ever in deep ... whatever! Maybe you should sell your house while you can ... Ever thought of moving back to California? I think they are looking for staff at the American Artic Base ... McMurdo I think it is called!!!! I think it is a bedbug on Super Steroids and was crossed with a blood sucker specie ... it is higly venomous and its prefered food is .... rabbit! Other than that, great shot Stéphanie.
Patrick F17-Jun-2012 22:08
Fresh meat????? Clear shot of this hairy beast!!! BV
