Uttarakhand, northern India

The newly-established state of Uttarakhand (previously Uttaranchal) includes the Himalayan foothills and the pilgrimage towns along the upper reaches of the Ganges, the hill station resorts established by the British Raj and the Corbett Tiger Reserve - named for the Great White Hunter turned conservationist, Jim Corbett.

These images were largely taken with Nikon D200 (10.2 mpx) in RAW format and all are available for licensing. Please visit www.travelgame.org for more pictures from India and elsewhere.
