The cross in the lake marks the place where Ludwig II. drowned under mysterious circumstances.
Lake Starnberg is the second largest lake of Bavaria and is a mere 30-minutes ride southwest of
Munich and a main recreation area for Munich inhabitants. Some people call it the "bathtub" of Munich.
This is quite lovely with the sunseting creating those reflections on the water and then the bonus of the silhouette of the cross...very impressive work...V
