A great many people own a cottage with a little water front, but a whole island??
What did it cost to build this shack??

Lovely photo. The reflections really make the shot.

That house is on Mosquito Island in Eel Bay just off Wellsldy Island State Park. I always loved that little island. It used to have a run down shack on it, but someone built the present one about eight years ago. Nice pic--thanks for the memories.

What happens when the water rises? Fabulous shot!

Yup, definitely decadence. What a great view!

Taxes are high on beach front property. This is totally beach front.

Phillip Normanton24-Apr-2008 19:35
Decadence indeed - wouldn't mind though ;-)
Jola Dziubinska24-Apr-2008 18:30

My dream home!

Great shot... I bet that island was bigger when that house was built.
CreativeWiseGal24-Apr-2008 14:01
Original! Great capture - I love the reflection which subtly doubles the decadence.

Beautiful view

I guess cost depends on when it was built. Would certainly make running out for milk late at night a little more difficult. :) Nice find.
Jonathan Popp24-Apr-2008 11:30
I'd be afraid of a drunken boater hiting it.
Máire Uí Mhaicín24-Apr-2008 11:22
A home for the Greta Garbo type who wants to be alone??
Guest 24-Apr-2008 10:58

Fantastic shot. Pretty incredible really.
What gets me is who decides who owns an island like that, and why/how do they own it.
Guest 24-Apr-2008 09:31
Great shot. Love the symmetry of your composition.
Heidi Jonker24-Apr-2008 07:29

This is fantastic!
Cindi Smith24-Apr-2008 03:50
I'm betting it won't weather a huge storm! At least they can have parties without the neighbors complaining! And, no one will be driving home after a few drinks!
Laura Sebastianelli24-Apr-2008 03:48
nuff said! except that this is a gorgeous shot!
Fred Gary24-Apr-2008 03:45
