Beautifully composed and photographed in that warm light. The goldenrod gall fly is a lovely creature, and the galls don't harm the plants. In fact, I think the galls are beautiful, like a little natural sculpture, as your shot shows. V

This is very interesting - and I googled it! Thank you I have never heard of this parasite fly that lives on goldenrod plants. Good to see it - and keep it over there please
