31 January: Sheffield Supertram

Just a quick grab shot as I was waiting for the tram going the other way.
Always use the tram when I am going to the hairdressers as parking is a nightmare!
Got a few strange looks as I took the little Ixus out of my bag to take the photo though :-)

Yep - I got strange looks snapping away at Preston station the other day! Nice to see the rebirth of the tram - has a lot to offer.

I get funny looks all the time too. I snap buses a lot - not too many trams around here!

Again I find myself envious! When we moved here there was a single bus each day that came through our village. It was impossible to use because you couldn't get back the same day. If you wanted to go to our tiny local town, you'd have to either go one day and come back the next or get a taxi in one or other direction, which obviously completely negates the environmental reasons for using the bus. Now they have cancelled the one bus - I'm sure the fact that no-one used it because of the inability to go to the shops on it was a key factor. It's a three mile walk to the nearest bus stop. I know trams here wouldn't work by my goodness how wonderful.

I get strange looks all the time...! I love trams, though... -- and, like Colin, love the colours of this one....

Very colourful trams you have.

They're very smart and remind me of the ones in Montpellier. They certainly help with city center access.
