Well Kal! I am so happy that this is also one of your favourites. This is a really incredible photo for me... This is why I am here again to check it out ;)

Thaak you Ana. You made my day. I love this image, for all the reasosns you describe. I have many versions of it, but this is my favourite. I guess the expression of this image is not as in your face as some of the others I produce, but this one more than most has that twilight parallel world feel you decsribe.

How come I didn't notice this one before???
Amazing photo Kal!
Again you seem to have caught the essence of two different worlds. Worlds that instead of coliding or touch thenselves even, run completly paralel and in total ignorance of eachother...
The car rushes speeding into the future and the man is right here, looked in its own little world, like the existence of cars was for him such an absurd concept that he doesn't even turn his head to look at the car that speeds away, because he could not understand it... I love the way you've caught the man looking straight ahead and that great glow from the fire that not only lights his face, but seems to be the essence of it's own life. That primeval fire which once was the most precious of human possessions and for this man, it still seems to be.

Congratulations Kal.
