The Park has been closed to the public since Hurricane Katrina because the Corps of Engineers is running a tree debris collection and mulching center for the east bank of Jefferson Parish. However, I was pleasantly surprised to see how wonderful the Park looks. There are four areas of debris and mountains of mulch but the rest of the Park looks very good.
