This River Runs Through My Soul

Louisiana

Stopped here on the banks of the Mississippi River to "chill out." Wrong word--I should have left the hat on my head as the noon day sun nearly fried my brains.

I grew up in Montz and remembered you and your Mother. I was a little home sick looking at the many photo's (I now live in Kingwood, Tx.) You made me miss not being there any longer. It was quite a surprise to discover the website, you did a fantastic job. Thanks.

Know what you mean about the mighty Mississippi. As a young girl I would write letters, put them in a bottle and toss them in. Thinking my prince charming would find it and a wonderful life would began. Did get a reply from a young sailor, Grandma invited him over for Sunday dinner and when he saw how young I was, that was it. Remember the hot summer nights, sitting on the levee, waiting for a cool breeze to come--the days of innocence. Too much pain/can't sleep. Suzi

Colleen, a river runs through the human soul. But they don't always know what it is called, because the words of the world is like a flood. Pierre.

Nice that picture about yourself, Coleen.

Super special, Coleen.

Nice SP, Coleen. The heat must be terrible with the humidity down there. I'm so glad I work on the top of a mountain. At 10,000 ft, I rarely see it above 80.

Hey Coleen! Great SP! Totally emphasize with the heat...104 today with virtually no humidity. Everything is frying in this heat.
