Timing is everything, and especially to enjoy the pretty blooms of the Joshua tree. Found only in the southwest,
Joshua trees always seem like old friends to me. Like the Mormons thought, who named them after Joshua in
the Bible, they seem to be throwing their arms up in celebration. Some in this park are 100s of years old. Not old by
other tree standards, but kinda old for a desert plants. Sadly, fires these last years have taken some of our oldest Joshuas.
