Fushimi Inari gates

Fushimi-Inari, Kyoto

This is an impressive buddhist shrine near Kyoto, which I prefer to most others for its simplicity and amazing complex of miles of walking paths. A great part of these are covered by hundreds of buddhist gates (torii). The atmosphere is surreal and inspiring. There is also a beautiful bamboo forrest further up the mountain, and a gorgeous view from the summit over the whole city of Kyoto.

Far out! They're all great, but I especially like the unusual choice of POV here. Totally wild.

One of my all time favourite shots of this location. Aweosme point of view, choice of focal point and dof. Awesome image. Big vote.
