Many areas of the Keys were hard hit by hurricanes in the past two years.
Local governments have worked hard not to publicized the damage in fear of chasing away the tourist trade.
Over 75,000 cars were flooded and consequently towed out of the Keys.
Many people lost homes and jobs, and have since relocated elsewhere.
Those who stayed behind are a hearty lot.
They are doing a fine job of rebuilding while holding the economy together.
