Our trip to Australia and New Zealand was planned as a trip to celebrate Maggie’s retirement, but was delayed a year by the birth of Maddie. We flew to San Francisco on October 29, and spent the weekend in Sausalito visiting family and friends. On November 1 we made the 14 hour flight to Sydney, with the U.S Election Day evaporating in time zone changes. (We did vote.) We spent 5 days in Sydney seeing all the sights we could. We had drinks and coffee with some of Maggie’s colleagues, and new friends from our upcoming Caribbean cruise. We boarded the Sun Princess on November 8 for a 14 day cruise visiting 7 ports in New Zealand. It was a fantastic vacation and cruise.
