In the summer of 1989, 4AJÜ at Mürted (Akıncı) replaced its old F-104's by brand new F-16's, most of them assembled by TUSAS nearby. This early F-16C-30-CF 87-0016 belongs to 141Filo when it is pictured on the flightline at its homebase. Block-30 Falcons had the new F110 engine, but old smaller air intake.

Akıncı was closed as an active airbase and became a reserve facility (Mürted Hava Meydan Komutanlığı) after the failed coup attempt on 15 July 2016. All aircraft of 4AJÜ went to other units. 141Filo F-16's went to Konya, 142Filo F-16's to Eskisehir and the 143Filo Falcons to Merzifon.

87-0016 was last noted with 132Filo at Konya.
