Palace of Fine Arts

San Francisco

This image was taken at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco at sunset one evening this past
September. I liked how the warm light lit up the rotunda and used the columns, already in shadow, to
frame the shot. We were disappointed when we arrived at the Rotunda to discover that it, and the pond
in front, were fenced off due to construction, so we were forced to rethink our plans for
photographing the Rotunda with the pond in the foreground--the classic view/shot.

Just adding this shot to my gallery--hope you don't mind seeing this again so soon.

Talk about being at the exact right place at the exact right time. Love the the dark vs light, the insanely gorgeous oranges and golds, that touch of orange light at the top of the columns, really everything is just right. ~VVV~

Glad I stumbled on this "old" shot...great compo, I love the little pockets of light accenting the beam in the high foreground.
