Onstage and Backstage at Giselle

I was invited to Knoxville, Tennessee to photograph Appalachian Ballet's spring production of Giselle. Giselle is one of the great classical
romantic ballets filled with difficult technical choreography and opportunities for emotional acting. The program also included a number of contemporary pieces.
I used my Canon 5D set at ISO 1600 and my Canon 70-200 f2.8L IS and my Canon Mark III set at ISO 1600 and my Canon 24-105 f4L IS.

Your gallery does that wonderful ballet justice, nice work. On a technical note: I guess you had to use a fast shutter speed despite the 1600 iso, about 250th? Also: with my 30D I get noise problems at 1000 iso let alone 1600, does the 5D not have that same challenge? Cheers Ted
