Tena Koutou Kotoa (Greetings everybody, in Maori).
Welcome to my wee homesite, I hope you enjoy your stay, please take the time to make a comment in any particular album or specific pic if you have a strong opinion about it. Not just 'nice' comments which obviously I find encouraging, but positive criticism is just as valuable, probably more so. If you don't particularly like an image, please say so and why. I continue to learn and benefit from both viewing other photographers works and listening to their invaluable advice and help. If you wish permission to use any of my images, please leave a message on Pbase, or via my email. Incidentally: the photographic equipment I use is a Canon 30d with a Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM Lens (fantastic for close-ups and portraits), for general all-round use a Canon EFS 17-85 mm (f4 5.6) lens and for bird-pics etc a Canon DO IS USM 70-300 mm (4.5 5.6 lens. I need/want/deserve a much faster 400 mm, somehow my wife doesn't think so.............Darn. I wonder what she will say when I mention a Canon EOS 1Ds Mark III 21.1MP?
Kia ora (cheers, thanks)

Hi everybody, while I have suffered from ill-health for some considerable time, I have now been advised that it is terminal. A week ago I was advised it could be 1-3 days but I am still here....yippee! However the future does not look good so may I express my heart-felt thanks to those many friends and countless wonderful photographers I have met via this site, the advice and encouragement so freely given, it has indeed been a wonderful learning curve and brought great satisfaction to me. It is most unlikely I will be checking in again on messages in here, you are welcome to contact me via my email email@example.com in the short term. A very special 'bless you' to Patricia Lay-Dorsey http://www.pbase.com/windchimewalker/profile) for her inspirational work and words, philosophy, sheer talent and so much more. If you are unaware of her work, you owe it to yourself to check out her site.
I will leave my images posted, perhaps I may even have time to add a few more........
