The following morning Steve awoke at 4:00 AM to hike Katahdin, highest peak in Maine. Steve began hiking Katahdin via the Hunt Trail at 4:30 AM from Katahdin Stream Campground. Most of the hike was done in the dark, and Steve was on the Tablelands as the sun rose.
