Drop collisions

Water is amazing stuff. You probably already know I am obsessed with water, and drops in particular, so I have finally started to play with drop collisions. There are some amazing examples around on the web (like http://www.liquidsculpture.com/fine_art/index.htm and http://www.flickr.com/photos/10756887@N07/sets/72157613369221788/), and I am slowly working my way towards learning about drop collisions. Happily, I love a good puzzle!

And I have been inspired by Inga's Liquid Collisions ( https://pbase.com/imorozoff/liquid_collisions) although the results are very different. Hers have a beautiful soft ethereal quality to them where I am much more focused on the drops and the images in them. Another amazing example of how different the "same thing" can turn out!

Some of you have been surprised at the length of the exposure according to exif. The camera is actually set on "bulb" and the flashes do the work of stopping the image. They are set to low power, so they are very fast.
